If a foreign friend is coming to visit our campus, I would show him or her our school library and the dinning hall. There are several reasons to account for my recommendations. First of all, our university is famous for its unique library, which looks like a beautiful flower (lotus) . It is designed by Bei Lvming, a famous designer in the world, as a result of which there are a host of tourists who would like to take a photo in front of it almost everyday. 我是大学英语老师，所以我来讲讲四级。
首先同学要树立信心，大学英语其实不难，主要就是增加单词和词组以及各种的应用，语法上全是高中学过的。
因为我们以前英语专业毕业是考专业八级，所以我自己没有考过大外四级。但
我从老师的角度提供一些建议，都是我考试前发给我自己学生的tips：
对付四级考试最有效的办法就是从历年真题入手（网络上可下载、或者去购买真题点评的书），学习步骤
是（1）在规定时间内完成练习，核对答案，分析错误原因；（2）精读听力原文和阅读了解的文章；（3）
跟读听力；朗读阅读的文章。一分耕耘一分收获，有付出肯定有回报！
在平时总结自己的薄弱项，专门攻克这些分项。
单词的话就是平时多途径积累，背单词，四级大纲所规定4200词汇，这是基础。但是可以把常见的，考过
的单词集中起来，有就是我们平时说的“高频词汇”，可以用卡片或小手册强化记忆，复习就有针对性了，也省时间。
尽管说现在大学英语的考察不以语法为重点，但是考试题型中，语句的理解还是以语法结构为基础，特别是结构。语法其实在高中已经基本学完了，先强调的是应用。
听力，坚持每天都听，重在反复。听的内容不要求很难，最好是你大部分听得懂，关键在于反复听。如果
你长时间不听，你会发现你对听力的反应特别慢，所以一定要坚持。听力薄弱的原因很多，词汇量，语音，语法结构(意群)，语气语调重读(语感)，答题技巧等。在加强自己词汇量，语法结构的理解，以及语音尽量标准的基础上，把简短对话和文章结合起来听，如果水平有所提高，可以结合听写短句。难度可以逐步加大。听力对完答案后不要急着看原文，先把答案分析下，然后继续听一遍。如果这时候你能找到问题的关键句就可以了。如果不行就看原文，然后再回去做一遍，直到自己可以听懂原文为止。大多听力题目的思路是一样的，问题也是一个套路，可以找到规律的。考试的时候的小窍门就是在着急的时候要学会简写和缩写，一个没跟上也要往下跟着走，不能因小失大。而且不要在睡觉前听，不然你考试时候形成条件反射，一听见播音就犯困了。。。
阅读是四级中最重要的部分，得分的比重也是相当大。阅读能力也是培养出来的，可以看小说或者报纸，作用很大，可以潜移默化地提高单词量，不知不觉中，积累一些好的词汇和句子了。还可以扩充你的知识面，增强语感。词汇，结构，逻辑，篇章，理解等都对阅读产生很大的影响。在加强基本功的基础上，再附以技巧和训练。要适当精看，找出自己理解的长处和短处(特别是错误后的反省)。掌握技巧和方法是现在必须要做的，所以完成一篇文章后，最好要返看，提炼自己的得失，总结出题特点和思路，同时提炼好的词汇搭配，结构甚至写作中可以用到的精彩句子。然后逐步加大量和提高自己的速度。考试的时候，注意阅读步骤的培养：迅速浏览—>看题—>找答案点—>理解含有答案点句子或段落—>看和理解选项—>对比和对应选项和答案点。先看问题，再画好关键词，再读原文可以快一些。选择答案时不要选那些绝对化说法的答案,比如 all, none, absolutely等。
完形和简短回答是综合题型，只要基本功加强了，扎实了，加上足够的练习，一定会提高。考试一时候一定要注意完型的第一句一般是完整的，这大多是全文的中心意义，可以对全文的前后逻辑判断有帮助。
此外，平时做练习时候一定要掐表算时间，很多学生都是会做却来不及，就可惜了。如果实在不够时间，
作文千万不要少一段，因为段落结构不完整的话基本都是打不及格的。一定要快速弄出一个结尾段，总比
没写好。
可以背诵一些精彩的转折用语，因为英语作文强调结构严谨，起承转合非常重要，用一目了然的关键转折
词可以对你的分数大有好处。可以借鉴一些精彩的开头句，过渡句，或者结尾句，注重每一段开头和结尾等显眼的地方。在词汇，结构，篇章等能力提高的同时，可以将作文和翻译结合起来，遵循从翻译单句，长句，段落到翻译文章的步骤，可以中英文互译，对比和原文的差别，找出自己表达的不足。平时要多多练笔，交给老师或朋友修改，找出自己的问题，。同时注意把阅读和写作结合起来，积累好的词汇搭配，表达法，结构，篇章等。
考试前几天就要调整好作息时间，以免考试时候是你平时的睡觉时间，犯困就难免了。。。要把效率最高
的时间段安排在上午的考试时间段。
最后，要检查该带的各种东西，铅笔，证件什么的。
