Teenagers' Studying Abroad

【范文】
Recently it seems that among the students who choose to study abroad, there are more and more-teenagers who study in high schools or even elementary schools. Many people, especially the parents, think it will certainly do good to their chidren because the independent life will make them learn confidence and perseverance. Moreover, the quality of overseas education is often higher, thus the child stands a better chance of entering a better university and getting a better job in the future.

After careful consideration, I have to say the above view is more than biased. On the one hand, early independent life is not necessarily good, if the child cannot receive proper guidance and tender care from both teachers and parents. On the other hand, the educational quality is also a question—too many foreign schools aim at earning money. When the children come back, who can guarantee that they can adapt to the fierce competition here?

We can see clearly that although teenagers' studying abroad may bring favorable results, there are still a lot to worry about. It seems necessary for young students to make a careful investigation before going abroad.

There‘re many benefits of holding a positive. First, positive attitude is good for our health. The positive people often live happily, as the saying goes: laugh and young. There’s a survey shows that the people who holding positive attitude live ten years longer than the people who’s negative. Second, positive attitude can lead to succeed. As we all know, most of successful people are positive, such as Zhang Haidi. Please imagine, if she’s negative after the paralyzed, would she have had such a great achievement? I think the answer of cause is “no”.
So it’s such an important thing to be positive, howcan we develop a positive attitude towards life? First, keep a good mood in life. As most negative people looklike, they’re often in a bad mood and the people in good mood usually not to harm himself or others. Second, ask your friends to help you, as the saying goes: a happy people share becomes two happ, a trouble splitbecame half troubles. Share with your friends and they’ll help you not to do wrong and be positive. Third, transfer of your attention when you are negative, such as reading interesting books, playing basketball In the process of playing you’ll forget the things which make you negative and become positive easily.

To a Chinese, the task of learning English well is not easy. So I, like many other English learners, have met with difficulties in learning English during the past seven years. But I managed to overcome them and made much progress.

The spelling and meaning of words can be said to be the first difficulty I met as a beginner. But I found our my own way to deal with them. As to spelling, I never copied a new work again and again to remember it, but tried to find its relevance to the sound. In fact, as long as I can read the word out, I can write it out. As to the meaning, I rarely recite its Chinese translation but often put the word into the sentence to learn its meaning. Moreover, if you use a word quite often, its spelling and meaning will be no problem. After all, we are learning English in order to use it.

Grammar and idioms may be another difficulty. But I have also got over it. I have not read lots of grammar books. But I spent much time reading the articles written by native speakers or specialists in English. By doing so, I came to gain “a sense of English language”. I began to gain a feel for which sentences are “good English” and which are not.

Finally, I want to say that overcoming all these difficulties requires perseverance. In the past seven years I spent at least an hour on English each day. I believe this is an important reason why I am able to make progress in learning English.
