I have met so many friends in my college life. They have exerted enormous influence on my life. However, one of my most impressive friends is my roommate, Li Ming.

In the class meeting on the first day of school, Li Ming did not impress us at all. We started to notice him because he was always late for classes. We were thus impressed by his laziness. I came to know him and his situation because we were roommates and spent much time together: his mother was seriously ill and sick abed in long-term, his father left him and his mother mercilessly. Indeed, friend such as him can be regarded as asset and property in our life. In terms of study, she is good at English, while English is not my cup of tea. When I am confused about teacher’s explanation of texts, she always interprets them to me in an explicit way. I really appreciate her help. Besides, she also imparts me a few language learning tips and recommendations which arouse my learning interest.

In addition, in the leisure time, she helps me a lot as well. Because I am not the local student and my hometown is far away from here, sometimes I feel homesick. However, I always have Rose on my side. Her accompany gives me great comfort.

This is an apparent phenomenon in present china that the number of private car is increasing. In that case, some people are in favor of owning one, but others’ belief is totally opposite. As for me, I think the fact of increasing private cars may be not a good tendency.
Such is human nature that everyone wants to have more room to live, to relax, to know himself, and it may be the main reason why more and more adults make owning a private car into one of the goals in their lives. In addition, numerous people hold a belief that it is essential for them to improve life standard, and the convenient traffic brought by it can reduce life press.
However, advantages as private cars have, we cannot ignore the shortages caused by this tendency such as the more pollution of air, the more noisy surrounding us, the longer time we will spend on our way home. In recent years, more and more lectures are being given on campus. Generally speaking, the advantages of good lectures are various. First they broaden the students knowledge horizon and cultivate interest in different fields. Second, they make the life of the students colorful and enjoyable.

With these merits, lectures are just complementary and subordinate to our school work. If students spend too much time attending lectures, their regular study will be affected and disturbed. So, in my opinion, the students should, on the one hand, do their class work and homework well first, on the other hand, set as more time as possible to attend good lectures which are helpful to our life and study.
