I am very sorry to take up your time and interrupt you. I need to express my apology to you due to the fact that I lost the book which you lent to me several days ago.

Yesterday, I went to the library to look for some information and materials for my assignment and left your book in the reading room. Unfortunately, I did not remember it until getting home in the evening. And the door of the library was not open after five o’clock pm in the weekend. What’s worse, this morning I rushed to the library and asked all the staff I can find there, but nobody claimed he or she have seen it.

I do know that the book is really useful, not only for me, but you. And I feel quite guilty for losing your book. Although the book is hard to find in our city’s book stones, I fortunately found out it in a internet trade website this afternoon.
