We have numerous traditional festivals in our country, and how well do you understand them? You can introduce them in English, allowing foreign friends to learn about our cultural heritage. Below are some well-written English essays on traditional festivals, which I hope will be of assistance to you!
Traditional Festival English Essay #1
Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional Chinese festival celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. Common activities across different regions include dragon boat races and eating zongzi. In my hometown, there's a dragon boat race every year. Many teams participate, and the riverbanks are filled with spectators cheering for the competitors. It's one of the largest events in our town. Moreover, making zongzi is also a cherished tradition. My mother makes them every year around this time, and she learned the art from my grandmother. She has promised to teach me too.
Traditional Festival English Essay #2
Among the various traditional festivals in China, I find Mid-Autumn Festival the most appealing. It signifies harvest, as it falls during the harvest season, allowing farmers to express gratitude for their yield. Additionally, it's a time for family reunions. Some refer to it as Tuanyuanjie. People who work or study far from home make the journey to join their families for a festive gathering. They enjoy a lavish meal and mooncakes together. While I detest parting, I cherish reunions, making Mid-Autumn Festival my favorite.
Traditional Festival English Essay #3
Spring Festival is my favorite among all Chinese traditional festivals. The primary reason I adore it is the opportunity to receive red envelopes. It's a Chinese custom for the elderly to give children lucky money during Spring Festival, symbolizing good fortune for the younger generation. Furthermore, on these days, people are brimming with joy. Quarrels, fights, and insults are scarcely present. Moreover, my mother prepares a feast for us to celebrate. Everyone forgets their troubles and instead focuses on appreciating life and wishing for a brighter future. That's why Spring Festival is my favorite.

传统文化节日英语作文?
中国的传统节日众多,包括中秋节、七夕节、清明节和春节。下面是关于清明节的一篇英语作文,供您参考和阅读。
作文1:
"The rain is falling on Qingming Festival, and the road is broken." This line from ancient times seems to be a vivid picture of Qingming. The warm sun no longer shines on the earth, but is replaced by rain and more rain. Little drops of rain fall to the ground, knocking on the window, awakening the sad and melancholic memories of the departed loved ones.
My home is also in the midst of preparing for the Qingming Festival, filled with unexpected and endless tasks. Grandma asked me to call my parents, but they were gone. So, I phoned them and initially, they didn't pick up. I tried several times again and finally, they answered. I learned that they had gone to my grandmother's home. My uncle, who has been deceased for three years, is still missed and regretted by our family. The desolate voice of my mother over the phone conveyed her sadness. She said to wait a moment, promising they would be back, but we waited for half a day and they did not return. After a while, I received a phone call from my mother, informing me that they were on their way home and asked me to heat the food. So, I informed my grandmother and then went to find her, only to find the house locked. I searched other places for her and finally found her in a nearby store, watching others play mahjong. When grandma saw me, she asked if my parents had come back. I said they would be back soon and asked her to heat the food until they returned. Then, I went back to grandma's house to prepare the hot meal. However, when we discovered that the gas was running out, grandma put the food aside and went back to her own home. Later, my parents returned and our family began to burn paper money and set off firecrackers. After that, I went to the grave and burned the paper. A drop of rain fell from the sky. It landed on my cheek and on my father's frosty face.
I do not like rain, paper money, and firecrackers. So, I did a foolish thing, I told my parents that I did not want to burn paper, as it was meaningless. I went back home first, and my mother reluctantly let me go. In the last moment of my departure, I saw my father's face filled with helplessness and sadness. My heart suddenly filled with an indescribable feeling, but I still went back home. After returning home, my first thought was to send an umbrella to my parents, but I thought they might not like it since I disliked rain. Maybe they were willing to get wet in this traditional festival rain, so I went to grandma's and offered her an umbrella. Grandma refused, saying it was not heavy, and she could manage on her own. I thought the dishes might not be very heavy, so I didn't insist, continuing to help grandma with the umbrella. When we got home, my parents had returned. Maybe they saw grandma with the umbrella and forgave me. Later, they didn't mention anything about it, and the matter might have been forgotten like that.
Finally, our family sat down to the Qingming meal. The food was delicious, but the atmosphere was not very good. Finally, my grandfather broke the silence, and then we chatted around the table. The atmosphere improved, and everyone finished the meal happily. After that, they left, my father went to Wuhan, my mother was out, and my grandparents were at home. I was alone at home, experiencing the loneliness of Qingming Day.
Let us start from this spring, cherish the time we have, for life is as bright as spring!
作文2:
New Year's Eve is a traditional festival in our country. It is the last day of the year and is also known as the Great Night. On the night of New Year's Eve, fireworks were non-stop and noisy.
Now, let me tell you how our family celebrates New Year's Eve!
On New Year's Eve, our family will set off fireworks. In the morning, I was still in my lazy sleep, my mother got up early to clean the house, and my father helped with his mother. At noon, we had our usual rice. In the evening, it was noisy, and we played happily.
We would cut white radishes into pieces, put candles on them, and then light them and place them in every corner of the house. Then, I would turn on all the lights in the house. When we had dinner, our large family would go to my grandparents' house for a reunion dinner, and I would play fireworks with my friends or family.
We all went upstairs but did not sleep but stayed awake.
At twelve o'clock midnight, my father set off fireworks and lit firecrackers. It was beautiful. When I finished, my father took me to the temple. I did not know what to say.
This is my "New Year's Eve." New Year's Eve is always so special and unforgettable!
作文3:
There are many traditional festivals in China, such as the Spring Festival, the Dragon Boat Festival, the Qingming Festival, and the Lantern Festival, among which my favorite is the Spring Festival.
The seven days during the Spring Festival holiday are my happiest days because my father, who works in the field, can have a long vacation to come home and accompany me to play. My aunt, who lives in Shenzhen, will also celebrate the New Year and return to Xiamen, and my grandmother and grandfather are in Xiamen. My aunt in Xiamen and my three families are very lively. We had a big family gathering, and we went to the island road to watch the fireworks show. All kinds of fireworks bloomed in the sky, some like a series of red lanterns, slowly drifting towards the horizon, like a skylight. Some of them look like twinkling stars, making you want to reach for them. Some resemble blossoming, colorful flowers, as if to tell people that spring is coming. A burst of exclamation from the crowd! Watching the fireworks show, we would go to sing K, which my sisters and I like best. The three sisters compete with each other, fighting to be a "麦霸", always making the adults laugh.
When the New Year bell rings, my mother and father, aunt and uncle will take their children to grandma and grandpa's house to celebrate New Year's Day, greeting the New Year with wishes for health, progress in work, and progress in studies! Of course, the most happy thing is that we all have big red envelopes!
I like the warm and happy Spring Festival!

2、My favorite festival is Christmas Day. It’s not the trditional for Chinese. It’s for the foreigners, which Christmas Day is to them what Spring Festival is us.
3、Dragon Boat Festival, often known as Tuen Ng Festival or Duan Wu Festival, is a traditional Chinese festival held on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese calendar. It is also known as the Double Fifth.[citation needed] It has since been celebrated, in various ways, in other parts of East Asia as well, most notably Korea. The exact origins of Duan Wu are unclear, but one traditional view holds that the festival memorializes the Chinese poet Qu Yuan of the Warring States Period. He committed suicide by drowning himself in a river because he was disgusted by the corruption of the Chu government. The local people, knowing him to be a good man, decided to throw food into the river to feed the fishes to prevent them from eating Qus body. They also sat on dragon boats, and tried to scare the fishes away by the thundering sound of drums aboard the boat and the fierce looking dragon-head in the front of the boat. In the early years of the Chinese Republic, Duan Wu was also celebrated as Poets Day, due to Qu Yuans status as Chinas first poet of personal renown. Today, people eat zongzi (the food originally intended to feed the fishes) and race dragon boats in memory of Qus dramatic death.
